Democracy is based on the vote of the people, and on governments formed by majorities obtained from the votes expressed by citizens at the polls, however, perhaps values should prevail, those supposed moral rules, which in some way delimit the good from evil in the same way for everyone, when selecting the orientation of the vote, with a realistic analysis of a possible common future for all Spaniards, and not individualistic based on their own circumstances, influenced by a thousand reasons that have nothing to do with the political program or ideology that a certain candidate represents.
Likewise, the public representatives of these voters, that is, the political lords, should be based on those same values, when making their decisions, when reaching agreements, and when planning and proposing new laws or modify the existing ones, always looking for the majority common good, or going back to the beginning. Such is the level of alarmism that spreads among certain sectors of the population, that some of our oldest citizens look with horror at the return to past times that they had already forgotten and that many experienced in their childhood, and suffered in their youth, leading brothers, family and friends to confront each other, due to the perverse ideas of others, which convinced them that they were the good ones and the others were the bad ones.
When ideas lead to confrontation between parents, siblings and children, when the defense of ideas produces pain, when the radicalization of ideological positions mistreats the adversary and distances them more and more, instead of seeking common ground that produces consensus, harmony and coexistence, the result can be tragic, and produce great damage from which it could take years to recover. as individuals, as a people, as a society and as a country.
For this reason, it is necessary that all citizens, political representatives, and Spaniards in general, dedicate a few minutes to deeply analyze the consequences of the acts and agreements that are being exposed and that will mark our future in the short and medium term, that they carefully analyze whether they effectively agree with the ANYTHING GOES, the FIRST ME and the SO that you don’t.
